According to official results, PPP has bagged 63 seats in Sindh. However, it aims to bring the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on board to form a coalition government in the province.
Earlier, despite winning a simple majority in Sindh in the elections of 1991, 1997 and 2002, the PPP had not been able to form a government because other parties had struck deals between them, fostering ‘pockets of influence’ and thwarting PPP’s right.
However, as the 18th Amendment stipulates that only the party winning a simple majority can form a provincial government, the PPP will be able to form a government this time round.

People have given mandate to PPP, Not to MQM,PMLF. A winning party should form government. Effective opposition is necessary for keeping check on PPP government. Last PPP Sindh Govt failed to deliver effectively because opposition in Sindh assembly was weak and all parties were in Govt with different interests, making harder for majority government to deliver.

Every political or religious party whosoever had lost the election, they blame the winning party that they have rigged the election.
Had PPP won the election this time again, today Bilawal would have given the statement that due to successful implementation of PPP policies during the last five years, people of Pakistan have once again given their mandate to PPP to rule the country for another five years.
The actual situation is that from Federal Political Party, PPP have now become the Provincial Political Party, again (PPP) in the province of Sindh.
