Rape Case: LHC seeks report

The complainant said his 25-years-old daughter had gone shopping when Khurram and his accomplices kidnapped her.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday took notice of a report published in some newspapers about the kidnapping and gang-rape of a 25-year-old girl in Gujjarpura.

The district and sessions judge has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report. Police had registered a case on the complaint of Munir Ahmad, a resident of Gujjarpura, stating therein that his 25-years-old daughter had gone shopping when Khurram and his accomplices kidnapped her. Ahmad said the men raped her. The LHC Complaint Cell took notice of the report and directed the concerned district and sessions judge to look into the matter and submit a report within a week.
