Angry PML-N, PTI supporters clash in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Supporters of the PML-N and PTI clashed on Murree Road on Saturday evening outside a polling station, as they waited eagerly for election results to be announced.

Express News reported that emotional supporters of both parties hurled stones at each other, saying that they will not accept poll results.

Eyewitnesses also reported aerial firing in the area, which is frequented by crowds due to the popular shopping centres nearby.

Polling came to a close in Pakistan by 6pm on Saturday evening. The nation is anxiously awaiting results, some of which have been pouring in based on figures given by private channels.
