(These instructions start from the point where we assume you have done your base, contouring and highlighting. For more details on how to achieve these tasks successfully look at older columns.)
1. Accentuate the depth of your eye with a strong bronze in your socket. Let this fade as this shade rises to the eye brow. Do not get any bronze on your eye lid. Highlight just under the brow bone with a pale gold for a clean look.
2. Cover the centre of your lid in a strong, deep emerald green. Make sure the green meets the bronze socket, but try and blend the meeting point well. Hard lines spoil the flow of colours.
3. Accentuate the inner V of your eye with a strong, rich gold. This not only opens the eye and keeps your kajal banked in your eye, but it also gives that coveted modern twist to this old classic. Be bold with this, it’s what will take you from hot to haute.
4. Use a black eye shadow to darken the outer corner of your eye. Keep the area near your lashes intense and allow the shadow to fade as you move upwards and inwards. Take very little shadow at a time, to prevent fallout. But if your base is properly powdered then any fallout can be easily brushed away without any damage.
5. Apply liner, kajal and mascara.
6. Accentuate your cheeks with a warm blush, a rich beige or apricot would look good.
7. Since your eyes are so strong, keep your lips a subtle but rich skin tone brown.
