Television channels showed that Imran was ahead in more than
50 of the total 272 seats in the general poll.
The partial count also showed that while Nawaz is leading in Punjab, however his party may lose 15 of its seats to Imran.

I'm sorry Imran Khan that you wasted 17 years of your precious life on this country. We don't deserve a leader like you. You're ahead of your time. But thank you for every thing! You've been a real source of inspiration, but unfortunately the majority of the populace doesn't view you the same way. We still vote for corrupt and incompetent leaders. The rigging has really left me depressed, it just shows how easily people are willing to sell their future for some easy money. I'm just at a loss of words to be honest...and a bit helpless.

Dear Pakistan thank you for showing real courage today and voting for democracy. As a British Pakistani I'm very proud today. I'm looking forward to Pakistan becoming a progressive, secular modern state just like Jinnah had envisaged.
