Election Payout: Complaint against former CM dismissed
The DRO had directed the monitoring team to submit a report on the matter.

District Returning Officer Nazir Ahmad Gajana dismissed a complaint against former CM Shahbaz Sharif claiming that he had paid voters in NA-129, after the monitoring team’s report cleared these charges.
Muhammad Mansha Sandhu, a PTI candidate from the same constituency, filed a complaint against Sharif. He claimed that Sharif had paid voters Rs300,000 to Rs500,000 for a seat to the National Assembly and Rs200,000 to Rs350,000 to voters for the provincial assembly through his supporters Talha Barki, Ramzan Mastana, Rao Shahab Din and Rana Mubashar. Sandhu prayed that Sharif be declared ineligible to contest elections. The DRO had directed the monitoring team to submit a report on the matter. The team informed Gajana that the accusation was false.
