The rare tiger, in question, was brought unconscious to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore on Tuesday evening and vets tried to revive her but could not succeed, according to Dawn.
The court cannot issue notice to the PML-N leaders as they were not stated respondents in the petition, the court replied in response to the counsel’s request to send them the issue instead of DCO and WWF.
The PML-N created quite a buzz amongst the supporters by bringing their elections symbol, a live tiger, to their political rallies.

@Saeed M.A: Thank you for writing such a heart warming comment.It brought tears to my eyes, no animal or human being should be treated with cruelty, we are all created by God in his image and we should be kind to all. Thank you again.
If the news is true,the beautiful beast is in better place now. She is with her maker,and she is really happy now. She is happy because she has finally managed to escape this jahannum forced upon her by some sub-humans who lie being Muslims and sadly are Pakistanis. From my side, I can only ask her to forgive us because we proved ourselves to be lesser living beings than her. RIP :(
@Nadir: First learn to take care of bay-zaban animals, that will teach us as a nation to care for all including the humans that die everyday in this godforsaken land of ours.
Though this is tragic incident but life of an animal is not so important as lives of innocent persons who are being killed at Karachi everyday without any reason only to sustain power in Karachi.Killing a man not only deprive his life but also family members he left behinds suffer a lot which ultimate results in decline of society wellbeing.Peoples who feels death of an animal is brutal act also must visit courts to save lives of innocent peoples at Karachi
Yes I am one of the minioritries in Pakistan who does not support killing animals for ANY reasons, physical or poltical.
@water bottle..
what was the first occupation of human being? because of which we are still living on earth. was it hunting or farming. btw we dont eat tigers. :)
You can judge a nation by the way it treats its animals.
Can we please verify facts before spreading rumour? Is the animal dead or not? Was it mistreated?
Another shining example of immaturity and cruelty of our nation. it's ECPs failure they should ve designated non aggressive symbols like spoon, fan, car.
@Sonia Wahab:
"The day we will respect life and the living on this planet Earth, all problem will be resolved."
So, you are a vegetarian? :)
Where did they get a tiger in Pakistan? It must have been purchased from another country. What a loss!
There is no value of life weather it is animal or human being, both are just mere materiel for PMLN.
This can only happen in "Purana Pakistan"
The day we will respect life and the living on this planet Earth, all problem will be resolved.
Good to see concern for endangered animals.
Now only if we could show half this much concern for all the people being killed left, right and centre in terrorists attacks.
O seriously??? The case will be handled by the hon'able court like Hudaibia Paper Mills. One hearing - stay-order - Justice served!!!
This incident is indicative of the way PML N leaders will run Pakistan if voted in to power. Their failure to properly safeguard the health and safety of an innocent animal in their care, who they were using for 'madari-pan' is demonstrative of how they have treated the people of Pakistan also. Having unimaginable wealth within the country, and stashed away abroad, not paying taxes on their income, and planning to further loot the national wealth once elected again, are all compelling issues that the people should note and vote against the Sharifs on May 11. A vote for Mian Sahib is a vote for the status quo and continuation of the disastrous policies of the past. Our people deserve much better. And kudos to Faryal Gauhar for taking this thankless job to fight on behalf of a silent and innocent animal.
