LAHORE: A single bench of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday referred a petition to a full bench of the court on a petition seeking the cancellation of the All Pakistan Muslim League’s (APML) registration with the election commission. Advocate Afaq Ahmad filed the petition stating that former president Pervez Musharraf, head of APML, had been disqualified from contesting the election. Therefore his party’s registration should be cancelled. He said that a disqualified candidate could not form or head a political party. The lawyer prayed the court to direct the election commission to cancel the APML’s registration.
