Preparing for elections: Hospitals put on high alert

All public hospitals in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been put on high alert from May 7 to May 11.

ISLAMABAD: All public hospitals in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been put on high alert from May 7 to May 11, ahead of the general election.  According to the official spokesperson of public hospitals the holidays of senior faculty members, doctors and paramedical staff have been cancelled and they have been directed to be available round the clock. The hospitals have been directed to make sure that they have adequate stock of all blood groups and medicines. Necessary arrangements such as availability of beds and ambulances have also been ensured.
