Elections: Minister visits control cell

Oil and Gas Control Cell established to ensure continuous supply of oil and gas during upcoming elections.

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Sohail Wajahat H Siddiqui visited the ‘Oil and Gas Control Cell’ in the ministry. The Oil and Gas Control Cell has been established to ensure continuous supply of oil and gas during the upcoming elections.

While visiting the Oil and Gas Control Cell the minister said that he had a detailed discussion with the Minister for Water & Power Dr Musadik Malik and Minister for IT and Telecom Dr Sania Nishtar regarding this control cell and both the above ministries will be providing full support for the continuous supply of electricity and gas and to keep the telecommunication and mobile network operational during the elections 2013.

The cell will be operational round the clock and all information regarding oil and gas stocks and supplies will be available in the control cell.
