RAWALPINDI: A special traffic plan has been crafted for the May 11 elections for National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies.

The plan is aimed at facilitating voters and commuters by ensuring a smooth flow of traffic on the roads.

According to the strategy, no one would be allowed to park their vehicles within a limit of 400 yards from the polling stations.

Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said there will be a complete ban on vehicles with tinted glasses and without number plates.

Additionally, stern action will be taken against one-wheeling. He said that traffic will be diverted to alternative routes for the convenience of the general public, whereas additional forces will also be deployed on election day.

He added that senior officers will supervise all the traffic operations in their respective areas on May 11.
