KARACHI: Hardly a week before the elections, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is determined to arrange a show of strength at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Sunday. Expecting to attract hundreds of thousands of supporters at the venue, JI Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has said that the rally will help overcome the environment of fear and intimidation in the city and give a boost to the voters’ confidence to take part in elections. The gathering will convene at 3pm in close proximity to the Quaid’s mausoleum, where the party chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, will address the public.
