PTI’s funding

Letter May 04, 2013
Most such people are trying to help the party out by funding the “Naya Pakistan” campaign and will continue to do so.

DUBAI: This is with reference to your story “PTI outspending rivals on banners and posters” (May 3). Much of the expatriate Pakistani community will not be able to vote in this election, which is predominantly the PTI’s vote bank. Most such people are trying to help the party out by funding the “Naya Pakistan” campaign and will continue to do so.

The only person the expatriate community can trust their money with is Imran Khan, be it for flood relief work, for the Shaukat Khanum hospital or for politics of change. As for funding sources, I am sure auditors can track every single PayPal and credit card transaction that expatriates have made as individuals. The expatriate community just wishes that our nation had a better memory and voted in only those who are honest.
