Neverending crisis: Water shortage getting worse

Most badly affected sectors are F-6/1, G-7/3 ,G-6/1 and I-9.

ISLAMABAD: Various sectors of federal capital are facing difficulties owing to the shortage of water since last many days. With fast approaching summers, locals are facing hardships to cope with unreliable water supply. Most badly affected sectors are F-6/1, G-7/3 ,G-6/1 and I-9. The residents of the area opined that due to poor planning, various houses in metropolis are not getting appropriate supply of water and CDA should take steps to address the issue. “I woke up at 4 in the morning and rushed to the CDA office to get a water tanker, but got 140th number,” Tahir Ali, a resident of G-7, said. Management Wing CDA official said that the water consumption increases manifold during the summer months while unscheduled load shedding and lavish use of water by the residents are the major reasons of water shortage.
