Law and order: Security beefed up for prisons

Foolproof security measures has been taken including round-the-clock patrolling by armed guards.

LAHORE: Security in and around all 32 jails in the province has been stepped up, Inspector General (Prisons) Mian Farooq Nazeer said here on Friday. He said on the directives of Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi, foolproof security measures had been taken including round-the-clock patrolling by armed guards. Nazeer said metal detectors, screening machines and close circuit television cameras were being used at the jails.
