Caretaker Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib disclosed on Thursday that a terrorist organisation has planned to kidnap former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf. However, he added that the militant group will not be successful in their mission.
Addressing the media outside Parliament House, Habib said that security would be provided to all high-profile personalities, including Musharraf.
He added that there was no plan of shifting Musharraf out of his Chak Shehzad farmhouse sub-jail.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador Richard Olson also had a meeting with Malik Habib. According to the statement issued by the interior ministry the two discussed matters of mutual interest.

@Raj . The condition of politics in Pakistan is very intricate due to duelity right from religion to foreign policy . For eg. relation with US is like a friend as well as enemy .Taliban are friend as well as enemy .Islam is just on the stamp or in the loudspeaker . In such a circumstances leadet like Musarraf can take a discisive step only by maintaining a practical balance with all . He did it well and now Pakistan can not afford to be a breeding ground for terrorists . One day people will have realize it ..
@Raj - USA: Disagree absolutely disagree, Musharraf provided no shelter to Osama Bin Laden. It is an admitted fact that he saved pakistan from the lelements who wanted to make Pakistan second Iraq.
Bhutto opted to make Pakistan a nuclear power and paid the price. Musharraf cheated and gave sanctuary to OBL and shall pay the price.
