ISLAMABAD: Policy-makers agreed on the need to initiate local initiatives for peace-building.
They were sharing remarks at the concluding ceremony of a five-day training workshop for youth on Thursday. The workshop was organised by PAIMAN Alumni Trust in collaboration with Search for Common Ground Pakistan. The event was aimed at contributing to building of peace by promoting mediation.
Centre for Research and Security Studies Executive Director Imtiaz Gul said bureaucracy is a policy-making institution but unfortunately it is only focused on their own privileges. “They should try to engage with youth at all levels so that they can be kept away from violence,” he stressed.
