On the other hand, teachers have threatened to boycott election duty in the entire province, creating an impasse.
The Government Teachers Association (GTA) has put forward a proposal that either army officers should be appointed as presiding officers in sensitive areas or teachers should be given full security.
In the backdrop of the refusal of the GTA to perform its duties in 11 sensitive districts of the province, the provincial government has formed a negotiation committee to hold dialogue with the teachers.
