Official crackdown : KWSB investigates corrupt officers

Residents of the areas accused officers of operating an illegal hydrants which had created water shortage in Baldia.

KARACHI: The managing director of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Misbahuddin Farid, visited Pak Colony, Baldia and other areas in District West to investigate charges of corruption against four of the organisation’s officers, Mushtaq Shaikh, Abdul Jabbar, Abdul Ghafoor and Jawed Mangi.

The residents of these areas accused the officers of operating an illegal hydrants which had created water shortage in Baldia.

Farid set up a three-member enquiry committee to look into the charges made against the officers.

He also wrote a letter to the DIG West to conduct an operation against people operating illegal hydrants.
