Police vs police: Case against SI for firing at police

HAFIZABAD: A sub-inspector got his nephew released after firing at a police van here on Sunday. Kasuke police arrested Zulfiqar Ali, nephew of SI Rana Liaquat Ali, for snatching a truck full of scrap at gunpoint and selling it in Sargodha. Police were on their way to arrest Zulfiqar Ali’s accomplices when Liaquat Ali, Qaiser Humayun, Atif and Kashif opened fire at the van carrying Zulfiqar Ali and released him. Kasuke police have registered a case against Liaquat Ali and four accomplices.
