ISLAMABAD:

The Election Commission of Pakistan took notice of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s personal attacks against the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The commission sought a video recording of the PTI chief’s address at Saturday’s rally in Bahawalpur, to determine if his criticism is within limits of the code of conduct.

Imran Khan’s speech at the Bahawalpur rally will be heard by the Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim in a meeting which is to be held on Tuesday.

Earlier, the ECP had issued a notification prohibiting political parties and their candidates from vilifying their opponents.

The ECP has directed the candidates to confine their criticism to party policies and manifestoes.

If 80+ ECP chief is determined that he should take notice for Khan's criticism on NS, then he should also take care of pre-pol rigging by PMLN goons in Punjab, but he would not even think about this because ECP has a mandate to protect all fake degree holders, tax evaders and looters of PMLN. The emergence of PTI in Punjab against N league is itself a clear proof of victory, no matter PTI comes into power or not.
