Khyber Agency: Militants destroy three houses

Militants planted bombs and detonated them.

BARA: Three houses belonging to Akka Khel pro-government militia members were destroyed by militants in Sanzal Khel, Bara tehsil on Saturday evening.

According to reports, dozens of Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) militants led by Mangal Bagh reached Sanzal Khel in six vehicles and surrounded the tribesmen’s houses. They planted bombs and detonated them. Dewa Baz Akka Khel and Darya Khan Zakha Khel’s houses were destroyed along with the house of another tribesman whose name could not be ascertained. The residents had vacated their homes beforehand when LI militants took the area from Akka Khel militia on April 12. They have now moved to safer locations.
