Honour killing: Couple gunned down in Charsadda

TANGI: A teenage couple was killed in Sokhta area of Charsadda district on Friday. Police official Hayatullah, said Rasool Shah filed a case against his brother Naqeeb Shah stating Naqeeb killed his daughter and her friend. Rasool said he was at work when he received a call saying his daughter Kainaat, 16, had an affair with Bilal Khan. Rasool added he closed his shop and rushed home with his brother, Naqeeb. When he entered the house he saw the couple in an ‘objectionable state’. Rasool said his brother picked up a gun and opened fired, killing Kainaat. Bilal was shot twice in the back and tried to escape to a neighbouring house. The residents of the house pushed Bilal out after which Naqeeb shot him again, killing him. Rasool said Naqeeb escaped after the incident.
