Rape Allegations: Session judge directed to submit report

The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed the Nankana Sahib district and sessions judge to probe an allegation of rape from Shahkot and submit his report within a week.


The LHC complaint cell took notice on a news report regarding the incident. According to details, the woman submitted an application with the Shahkot city police station. She alleged that she was asleep at home when the rapist and his three armed accomplices entered the house.

They held up her family and raped her, she said.

The woman said that the police did not register her complaint when she went to them. She alleged that the lady doctor at Government Hospital Shahkot did not issue a medical report despite her several visits.

She also alleged that the men had threatened her family with serious consequences.

She threatened to commit suicide along with her three children if the men were not brought to justice.
