Addressing a party gathering at Spin Jamaat (White Mosque) Peshawar, Hassan said it was the caretaker premier’s duty to call an APC which would be attended by political parties and security agencies.
Hassan also criticised the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for failing to implement the Supreme Court’s order to delimit Karachi, claiming it cowered before Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s pressure.
Additionally, he blamed the Awami National Party (ANP) for the current situation, saying it had failed to take others into confidence during its five-year tenure. “Military operations, large-scale human displacement and drone attacks were the ANP’s manifesto during its rule.”
Leaving no stone unturned, Hassan accused the Pakistan Peoples Party, ANP and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid of “unleashing target killings and terrorism across the country.”
He also claimed former president Pervez Musharraf, in addition to killing Akbar Bugti, had caused the deaths of innocent children during the Lal Masjid incident and violated the constitution twice.
Hassan asked activists to facilitate the diffusion of the party’s manifesto across the country, urging workers to tell people the JI would put an end to terrorism.
