Load management: WAPDA instructed to share plan

Lesco officers briefed DCO Lahore that there electricity demanded is around 3000 MW against a supply 1565 MW.

LAHORE: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore Rizwan Mehboob directed the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) officials to eliminate unscheduled load shedding from Lahore City and share the load management plan for all grid stations. A meeting by the District Load Management Committee was held at DCO office on Tuesday where power outage and water supply suspension issues were discussed. The meeting was attended by various officers. Lahore Electric Supply Company officers briefed DCO Lahore that there electricity demanded is around 3000 MW against a supply 1565 MW. Wapda officers ensured that separate electricity connections would be provided to all the Tube wells to maintain regular supply of water in the city. A similar sort of meeting was also held at Commissioner Office on Monday where LESCO officials briefed about the demand for Lahore region and the supply available.
