Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists thronged its newly-established office in Rawalpindi district after it was inaugurated by party chief Imran Khan on Monday.
Hundreds of PTI workers were seen holding party flags and chanting slogans that read, “Imran Khan is the next prime minister.”
Most participants were youngsters and included women, who pledged that they would work to strengthen the party and the country.
However, the workers’ unruly behaviour forced Khan to leave the office premises without making a formal address.
The workers clashed with gatekeepers after the latter tried to prevent them from entering the office, breaking window panes and chairs in the process.
They didn’t spare media persons, some of whom were even manhandled.
“The presence of such a large number of activists has sent a clear message to the PML-N that it has lost in Rawalpindi,” said PTI worker Talha.
No efforts were made to divert traffic to alternative routes, as hundreds of vehicles remained stranded on both sides of Benazir Bhutto Road.
However, the Traffic SSP claimed that the PTI had informed him about the rally and that he had made adequate security arrangements to deal with the situation.
PTI leaders could not be reached despite several attempts to contact them.

Allah bless Pakistan. Allah bless PML-N. Vote for PML-N.
I was there at the opening ceremony, there were thousands of people. It is not possible to manage such s huge crowd in a small area. Just imagine how many people came out just on the news of IK's arrival.l without any advertisement. If a window glass was broken so what. You highlighted just that out of the whole event. PTI has emerged as one of the largest parties in pakistan. No one can stop it ia. No political party, jo biased media, nothing. Belive me,this type of reporting makes us try harder for our cause.
Great to see the pti trolls at work again! Anything in favor of the pti is good reporting while anything against the pti is biased reporting.
@john the baptist .. dude u had me rofl .. love pti
@Pakistani:
E = Everything T = Trash
That is ET for you!
Good Job ET. Imran Khan has done 8 huge jalsas in Punjab and KPK in the last 4 days. No news about that. Yellow journalism at its peak. No one can stop TSUNAMI of CHange now.
However, the workers’ unruly behaviour forced Khan to leave the office premises without making a formal address. So does that mean your dear IK will run away if the same workers started behaving unruly after coming into power? Just saying. Please now don't start crying PTI-lovers! :D
Why do I see ET biased (negatively) whenever PTI is reported ?
Imagine the chaos when these unruly street kids are handed over fate of entire nation.
This party will bring change in the country who themselves are not Organized? This party will change our fate where its own people are fighting among each other for tickets? They can win few seats but can only dream about bringing change in this country with this kind of behavior.
ET go home.
PTI leaders could not be reached despite several attempts to contact them.
Of course they are not available--they are busy beating the living daylights out of the PML-N!
The day ET appeared on the newspapers stalls of Peshawar, I switched over to it for reading news and comments.But now I feel that sometimes proper desk work is not done while filing the stories of reporters.
Benazir Bhutto Road? Which one, I am sure there will be 10s of 100s in every city.
Such reporting is actually strengthening the resolve of PTI youth!
Youth is full of passion and potential, now IK is there to give them right direction and INSHALLAH we are on the verge of NYA PAKISTAN.
Biased Commenting. My father and two cousins were there. No wide scale unruly behavior was observed. If it happened, it might have happened in a small pocket due to over enthusiasm of the crowd. Similarly, PTI volunteers were managing traffic till the very time Imran Khan came. Some traffic blockage might have occurred at that time, but such things are expected when you have large crowd.
ET will make sure it publish all the chaos about PTI at least once a day, but ET closes its EYES when PML-N workers fight and wounded each other on ticket allotment issues here in Lahore, some of them were injured even, PTI ALL THE WAY.
Vote for PTI!!!
Now this is so much big problem that PTI does not deserve to get a single vote in the whole country. Shame on you ET for such negative reporting
Yet Again ET failed to report without being baised toward PTI.... You should have mentioned that it went thought the whole of Rawalpindi and crowd was full of passion and it was organized on a very short notice without any advertising.
