Says PTI leader is deceiving the youth.
Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif has said it was time for the nation to throw all the Zardaris and tsunamis into the River Indus.
While addressing a huge rally in Tariq Niazi Stadium, he said that the PML-N under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership will turn the country into the “Pakistan of Iqbal and Quaid” who wanted an Islamic, welfare and democratic state.
He said that Mianwali was just like his second home and the people of this constituency would give an exemplary defeat to the so-called tsunami in the coming elections.
Shahbaz said that his party had carried out nuclear tests and enabled the nation to confront the enemy bravely. He said that his party spread a net of motorways and constructed a coastal highway, Gwadar port and introduced scores of developmental schemes including a laptop scheme, yellow cab scheme, Danish school system and Ujala scheme.
He said that Nawaz Sharif was determined to lead the country on the path of honour and dignity, adding that the so-called tsunami was trying to deceive the youth and would remain unsuccessful as the youth had witnessed the actions of their real friends.
“Where was this tsunami when the ruthless waves of the River Indus were devastating the towns and villages of Mianwali. It was only PML-N government that came to rescue the helpless people and who later helped them rehabilitate.”
Raising hands with PML-N’s candidates from the area, he said, “These are Nawaz Sharif’s soldiers and I hope that the people will support them on May 11. If they win, the country will start its journey towards prosperity and progress.”
PML-N candidate Obaidullah Khan Shadikhel would contest against PTI chairman Imran Khan here.
Referring to former president Pervez Musharraf, he said the one who had sabotaged a democratically elected government, attacked the judiciary and shed blood in Lal Masjid, was now in Allah’s grip and should be dealt with according to the law. He will have to pay for the tyranny he committed to the nation and the country, he added.
There were extraordinary security arrangements seen at the venue of the rally.

Once we get justice, everything else will fall in place. Education, employment, health systems, environmental concerns, security, utilities/natural resources - you name it. The only thing obstructing our country is corruption. Corruption in every single department. From top to bottom. We need a just leader who is not only ready to fight against corruption, but who has stuck to his words & has fulfilled his promises in the past. Who has demonstrated his accomplishments through social services. Someone who is ready to give his life & well-being up for the sake of our country. An educated person who understands how much damage corruption has caused our society. Someone who has shown us how much he cares for other people. Who has earned his respect through the services he has provided for the country, not for simply "being in power" or having influence. A person who isn't greedy, someone who would have been BETTER OFF if they weren't running for the elections. I mean how many people are worse off standing for the elections? I only know one. I'm sure you know him too. The rest are all in it for the perks & power. And they all stand AGAINST one thing in common - JUSTICE. If they were that concerned, they would have had the justice system on top priority. They would have had a set mission & there's not a force that could have stopped them. The people that all stand against them would have been standing with them. But THEY JUST DON'T CARE. A nation gets to chose their leaders. Leaders define a nation. And also his work for the Sindh flood relief and his humanitarian assistance initiative in Badin. with multiple fresh water filters, houses throughout sindh. IK has made model villages in SWAT (part of the "Village Development Programme", with 145 houses (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmNOJQ8EUJI) IK foundation in collaboration with MKF made 304 houses in Kot Addu. IKF is busy doing more throughout the country!
One or two seats for PTI won't be a surprise but more than ten seats in entire country would be shocking. The nation is not going to make a blunder.

I'm from mianwali as well as Lahore and I implore all there and in Lahore to vote for Imran khan instead of these people who are not even worthy to become lahore's nazim. Imran khan will either change our lives or go down trying. That is his creed. It's all or nothing. So vote for this real son of our soil and not the capitalists cum industrialists. Even if Imran would make a tailor stand up with a ticket I will vote for him as no one is better at team selection than he is and he never compromises honor.

The yellow cab scheme was a complete waste of money. Precious resources that could have been spent on education, health or clean water got wasted on buying patronage with these ridiculous vehicles. You claim that you will provide good education to the masses but in your 2 terms in power what did you achieve? Why do you deserve another go? What will you do differently this time if anything? You claim you will raise more taxes for spending on human development but in the past you have done the opposite. How about the campaign to get rid of foreign debt, can you give us an update. Also Musharraf built more motorways than you and Nawaz so I am not sure you have anything to boast about.As for claims about nuclear weapons they are as bogus as Bhutto's missile technology and fiber optic communication s claim.

I live in Mianwali, and I can tell you that this jalsa was a fail. People even started chanting about Imran Khan in the jalsa.

Another term for PML would mean more tax evasion, more loan defaults, more corruption, more real estate investments in foreign countries, more Umra trips on tax payers expense, more useless projects for only Lahore. This statement shows how much PMLN is feeling insecure. He is expecting a political party to help rescue people that doesn't have a single seat in National Assembly and gets zero state budget. That is, in itself, a victory for PTI.

pml n has no chance in mianwali...obaidullah lost against imran in 2002 despite having support from major political familes. Obaidullah could not defeat ppp's candidate in 2008 imran will simply walkover. amjad and inam both have their own vote banks. Amjad is now backed by pti's elected organizations as well he has a stronger chance now
CM Lahore people don't have short term memory. They will take revenge in election as you wasted half of the Punjab budget on one road of Lahore.
PMLN may have some chance in NA72 thanks to Inasmullah Niazis solo flight but in NA71 im afraid even the elder Sharif would be hard pressed to get any significant votes let alone Shadikhel.
