Spring surprises: Torrential downpours in Hyderabad

The wheat crop in the district was also affected.

HYDERABAD: A torrential downpour with winds of 60 nautical miles was recorded in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The rain started at 8:10pm and went on for 35 minutes. Many towns located in low-lying parts of the district such as Latifabad and Qasimabad were submerged in water. The wheat crop in the district was also affected. The exact amount of the damage has yet to be known. Thunderstorms also occured in Jamshoro, Matiari and Dadu.
