Girl killed, two injured in wall collapse

Incident occurs when negligent truck driver offloads grit alongside the boundary wall.

HYDERABAD: A girl was killed and two other children sustained serious injuries after the wall of an under construction house collapsed on them on Hali Road near Ghausia Chowk.

The incident occurred when a negligent truck driver offloaded grit alongside the boundary wall. The driver and other labourers fled the scene.

The injured were taken to the Civil hospital where nine-year old Aleena Bhatti succumbed to her injuries. The other two children, identified as Farhan Bhatti, 8, and his six-year old brother Rehan Bhatti, have suffered serious head injuries and leg fractures.

Saifullah Bhatti, the boys’ father, said that they would register a case against the transporter.
