A Rescue official said the electric fittings in the house developed a short circuit due to frequent power tripping. The building caught fire early morning on Saturday.
The fire engulfed the house within no time and three children Laiba, 8, Jovairia, 5, and Burhan, 6 months, received serious burns and died. Rescue officials managed to control the fire in three hours. However everything in the house had been reduced to cinders by then.
