Musharraf’s farmhouse was declared a sub-jail for his 14-day judicial remand on the basis of security issues and threats to his life on Saturday.
Earlier, district authorities had rejected a request made by the SSP Yasin Farooq, to declare the farmhouse a sub-jail on the basis of a lack of justification.
Security has been tightened around the farmhouse in preparation. Musharraf will be brought to court on May 4 from the sub-jail.
No visitors allowed
SSP Islamabad also issued a notice prohibiting all visitors from meeting the former dictator Pervez Musharraf while he is in custody at the police headquarters.
The verbally delivered orders prohibit all party workers and lawyers, including those representing Musharraf from meeting the former dictator.
Sahiba Musharraf, Ahmed Raza Kasuri, Dr Amjad and other aides were reported to have met him at the headquarters yesterday.
Clashes that occured post the hearing earlier today, between All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party workers and Rangers, resulted in a ban to avoid further tussles.

@Temur:
The so called elected govt came to power by fake votes and came not to serve the public but to increase his industries using the govt help. That kind of govt is meant to be toppled. Musharraf did a good job by doing it. The question is did he make the country better after toppling it and any body could say it yes he did it. Musharraf's 8 yrs tenure was better in Pakistan's history. He eliminated IMP loans, people were happy and is seen to be believing and not just the figures.
People need to understand jailing a former army chief in a crappy jail will create a precedent for future army chiefs who come into power. It will not look good for the country and for future army chiefs who ultimately govern the security of the nation. He has come back to face the music, what more do people want, remember regardless of his policies some utter failures he was a head of state if that means anything.
@Mohammad:
yes, do everything possible to stay with the secuity around you. If only you had listened to your mother that your brother is more intelligent than you ae. Now you have put yourself in a hole an you have no alternative but to keep digging further.

I love Pakistan for the entertainment it provides to the rest of the world. Best clowns. Best circus.
@Anti-Democracy: You should not refrain from commenting because we need voices like yours to wake this sleeping nation.
The politicians have been looting this nation under the name of protecting the constitution. WHAT have they ever done for the public. They take turns to come and loot us and we like dead pigs keep silent, living in their filth. No security, no economy, the society falling apart, no JUSTICE. We don't want a hundred page constitution to be preserved but a 100 times louder action on the ground. Musharaf did the actions and we see it as respect in the hearts of the poor and middle class. The only crime he did was thrash these looters and so they all want revenge. Even the media talk is senseless. They can't even acknowledge their empowerer. What a bunch of lotas the media is....This country doesn't need democracy it needs true leaders as dictators.
Whatever happened to so called scrutiny of 62/63. Almost all the crooks/criminals/illiterates were given a free pass to run for election. For individuals, whom courts know for sure are either killers or have taken millions of dollars are not only out large; their posters are seen everywhere, as they are more patriotic then the Great Quid e Azam himself. Shame Pakistan!! Given the surprising luke warm support of Musharraf, Pakistan now ‘’deserve’’ the inept leaders that coming to power very soon. Pakistan ka allah hi hafiz hai!!!
The present farm house belonging to Musharraf is not safe as compared to Abbotabad Mansion which was well fortified with high and thick concrete walls for OBL security during Musharraf's tenure as President. But the same was unfortunately demolished which could have been used for Musharraf's foolproof security.
@Babloo:
By now, you should get out of mental dilemma occupied by Saudis..... Haqqani run away and that's a fact.
musharaf is the only hope for pakistan
Mr Musharaf the ex president of pakistan has been send to sub jail,in my opinion all his cabinet who miss guided him may also be arrested.because every dictator has his team ..not only he is responsible but all his team is needed to be arrested and may be treated according to law.
Mush should be tried and he should be made to applogise from nation for playing with constitution. Where are people now who used to say they will elect mush five times in uniform
Musharraff and the generals like him must be dealt according to the law. These dictators have played with pakistan for too long. Now they should be taught a lesson.
Okay, so was Osama actually in 'prison' in his farm house in Abottabad ?
It is a shame that he is getting special treatment despite all claims of justce for everyone. It clearly indicates that Pakistani establishment is reluctant to treat him as an ordinary Pakistani owing to any possible reaction from defense establishment. I hope ISPR comes up with a clarfication that they will not influence legal proceedings against Commando dictator and will abide by the laws of land.
@Mohammad, Musharraf came back, with a Saudi deal and because he thought the military will protect him. In fact he is being guarded by military men. Haqanni did not come back because he feared that the military that is protecting Musharraf, will kill him. Got it ?
@lIaqat ali: what constitution... lol, corrupt politicians made it for their own interests, they make amendments whenever they want.
Musharraf committed a heinous crime when he toppled the elected government and usurped the power. It should be made sure that he pays for his crimes and thereby should be made an example. Pakistan will remain a lawless country unless those, who are at the highest position, are exemplary law-abiding citizens.
@Awan:
even... if Musharraf came back by reading our comments... at least he is presenting himself to the courts... Hussain Haqqani has full of his Peoples Party.. why don't he come back. Musharraf spent 43 years for Pakistan, it's his country.. he has every right to live in here.
Musharraf simply didn't run away, like many.
@muhammad awais:
Well, I don't know how you ascertain that he is tense and disturbed. He surely did his calculations before arriving to Pakistan. Moreover, the training in the army specially in SSG is more tensed than the one General is facing now. Don't you think he had more tensed and disturbed days and nights when he was part of 2 wars with India?
You may not reading the news what General's companions are telling.. having coffee, smoking cigars and chatting with friends...look at the video he just published on his FB page.
@Mohammad@Faisal: It's because people like you that he is in this situation right now (much to my delight ), I think he only read ET comments when he was abroad and decided that Pakistanis really needed him.
His misplaced allusion of grandeur was due to handful of people like you sirs. So I really really thank you from the core of my heart!
How can a farm house be more secure than a PRISON ????
If that be so, please move all dangerous prisoners to Musharraf farm house , because that is more secure or else they can escape from less secure prison.
Our judges n system can even put him in Adyala jail .. Can we expect real or justified punishment for him...our Political Govts n judiciary will wet their pant many times before trying any thing like putting him in real jail...
He gave me development,he gave me HEC, he gave me strong economy, he gave me progress, he reduced corruption, he is my true leader. He did great by suspending this crap constitution which has done nothing good for this country.
Musharraf and Imran Khan are the only true leaders of Pakistan.. wake up Pakistanis don't believe in other corrupt politicians and media.
Zardari handcuffed and rotten in jail. NS lodged with rats in Attock fort. ZAB handcuffed and later hanged.Why is he getteing special treatment ?Because he abrogated consitution or because he got thousands killed in Kargil's un-necessary and disastrous war?
@elcay well the awesome judiciary kept Mualana Abdul Aziz at the Simli Dam rest house.
@ Muhammad: I respect ur sentiments for the former dictator, but facial expressions of Musharraf clearly show him a coward person. He is tense and disturbed.
Why is he getting special treatment?. This is eroding confidence in the system. and in long term it will hurt the country and the institution from where he retired
Submitting himself unconditionally to the courts, only this makes Musharraf one great leader. Do you have an example other there? Everyone runs away when it comes to justice.
Former dictator Pervez Musharraf’s farmhouse was declared a sub-jail thats great. never called him dictator when he was in power ET. I think at least you should not publish him like this no matter what people call him. and by the way who has Zardari been throughout his tenure and all other parties during in power.
Musharraf was a leader, is a leader, will remain a leader for us. Judiciary's biased decision will not deter his will to serve the people of Pakistan and certainly will not deter us from Loving General Musharraf.
He doesn't need visitors, he needs justice which is not possible under current judiciary.
Lol ET is truly a shining beacon of journalism. NOT. Get your facts straight
Time for the men of Pakistan to step forward and rescue the general from the clutches of these criminals.
I am so surprised, everybody is behind Musharraf, cursing him 24 hours 7 days a week. No one condemned the action of Lawyers who beaten up Musharraf supporters and tried attacking Musharraf during the hearing.
It's test of General Musharraf, and insha Allah he will be successful in this. Mark my words.
Musharraf, keep the moral high, be strong.. we are with you.
You do whatever you can do.. he has training of 43 years to deal with the situations like he is in right now.
If a son of a politician can be allowed to lodge in a Guest House as a prisoner in remand, why not an ex President?
