KARACHI: The defence lawyers completed the cross-examination of the first investigating officer (IO) in the Shahzeb Khan murder case before an Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday.

The case is being heard by Judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon of the ATC-III.

The counsels for the suspects - Shahrukh Jatoi, Siraj Talpur, Sajjad Talpur, and Ghulam Mustafa Lashari -questioned the first investigating officer, Nafees Ahmed, over his testimonies recorded a couple of days back.

Following the cross-examination, the judge directed the state counsel to call the current investigating officer, Mohammad Mubeen, for his statement. Mubeen had replaced Ahmed in January.

Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur, and a servant, Ghulam Murtaza Lashari, have been charged with killing 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan in the Defence Housing Authority on December 24, 2012.

The case was put of till the next hearing.
