PIA win fourth match in National

KARACHI: Mohammad Zubair scored a hat-trick and propelled PIA to record a 6-1 victory over KESC in the 57th National Hockey Championship.

PIA scored five goals in the second half after the score was a close 1-0 at half-time. Anayatullah scored a brace while Hasan Akhtar scored once.

Meanwhile, Pakista Navy overpowered Port Qasim took a 6-3 win with six of its players scoring during the match. Falak Zaman, Mohammad Rashid, Abdul Manan, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Sabir and Bilal Shabbir scored a goal each for the sailors.

Port Qasim’s Hanif Shahzad scored two while Kashif Jawwad scored the third goal in the match.

Earlier, penalty corner specialist Sohail Abbas and Waqas Sharif both braced as WAPDA beat PAF, recording a 5-2 victory. PPI
