Rocket Shell: Two children, woman killed in explosion

The explosion came from a rocket shell that was initially mistaken to be a toy.

DAGAR: Two children and their aunt died when a rocket shell, mistaken for a toy, exploded in Nawagai Shahu area of Buner district on Friday afternoon.

Shahu police official Ahmad Shah said they were informed of the incident by villagers at around 2:00pm. When the police rushed to the spot, an injured woman identified as Zenat Bibi, 30, explained her nephew Shahab, 7, and niece Aliya, 9, brought to her what they assumed to be a toy.
However, when Zenat and the children began to clean it, the shell exploded. The children died on the spot while Zenat was rushed to Dagar Headquarters Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries on the way, said Shah.
