Reaching out: PPP-SB builds first office in Naudero

Turnout in upcoming elections will be low because of poor law and order situation, says PPP-SB chairperson.

NAUDERO: The turnout in the upcoming elections will be low because of the poor law and order situation in the country, said the chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB), Ghinwa Bhutto, while inaugurating the party’s first office in Naudero on Thursday.

She felt that the policies of the previous governments had been formed with very narrow visions in mind. “Pakistan’s leaders think only about improving their bank deposits rather than about improving people’s lives.”  She also pointed out that tall walls that have been built around Bhutto House separating it from the people which, she felt, was against the Bhutto tradition. “It used to be the home of the people in the past and not a palace which people can only look at from a distance,” she recalled, adding that the construction of the party’s office in Naudero would bring the party closer to the people. She also held public meetings in a number of villages around Naudero, including Ismail Khakhrani, Khan Wah, Sallar Bhutto, Wasayo Jeho.
