SARGODHA: “Over 150 polling stations might be declared sensitive in the district. The district government has demanded over 500 extra security personnel from the federal government for this purpose,” District Coordination Officer Waqas Ahmad Mehmood said on Thursday. Talking to reporters at the committee room, the DCO said that the sensitive polling stations would be divided into 30 clusters. Each cluster, he said, would have five polling stations. Mehmood said that mobile phone services might be suspended on May 11 in view of the security needs. He said election security control rooms would start working 10 days before the polling day at district and tehsil headquarters.
