FAISALABAD:

Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) have decided to join hands to promote agricultural entrepreneurship and product commercialisation.

The agreement was reached during a meeting of three-member IBA delegation headed by Zaheer Ali Syed, the Pakistan MIT Enterprise chairman here, on Thursday.

Syed said that an agri business plan competition would be held at Karachi and students of UAF were expected to take part in the contest.

Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmad Khan said Kashmir had many wild mango orchards with hundreds of tons of organic mangoes which had been wasted since long due to lack of a value-addition chain and marketing network. He said that social entrepreneurship networks should be initiated in AJ&K for the promotion of organic mango products.
