Earthquake: Relief goods sent to Balochistan

PDMA sent as many as 200 tents, 500 bags of rice , 500 bags of flour and 1,000 food hampers to Balochistan.

LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Wednesday sent as many as 200 tents, 500 bags of rice (50kg each), 500 bags of flour (20kg each) and 1,000 food hampers to the earthquake-hit areas of Balochistan. The province was hit by an earthquake on Tuesday. The authority Director General Mujahid Sherdil said, in a press release, that the authority’s officers were helping the local administration to deliver the relief goods to the people affected. Sherdil said that the Punjab government is also planning on sending doctors and other paramedical staff along with medicines to the earthquake-hit areas.

Relief supplies should be sent on emergency basis to the effected area.
