Building bridges: SSUET to join Spanish university

Universities agreed to collaborate for Master’s and PhD programmes besides establishing an exchange programme.

KARACHI: The Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) and the Malaga University, Spain, have agreed to collaborate with each other for Master’s and PhD programmes besides establishing an exchange programme for students and faculty members.

The agreement was reached at a meeting between SSUET chancellor Engineer Adil Usman and Dr Javier Poncela of Malaga University.

The meeting was attended by SSUET vice-chancellor Prof. Dr Jawad Hasan Rizvi and other senior faculty members.

During the meeting, Dr Javier Poncela sought collaboration with a focus on research and development.

He remarked that he had seen the facilities at SSUET and felt that collaboration between the two universities will be of mutual benefit.
