Amit Mishra produced a scintillating performance as the leg-spinner took four wickets in five deliveries, including a hat-trick, to hand Sunrisers Hyderabad a stunning 11-run victory over Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League (IPL) yesterday.

Mishra, who had figures of four for 19, claimed wickets on his second, fourth, fifth and sixth deliveries off his final over as Pune were skittled out for 108 in 19 overs while chasing a target of 120.

Captain Cameron White was left stunned with his leg-spinner’s performance. “I am not sure what happened there,” he said. “We got wickets as and when we needed and then Mishra did his job.”

Man-of-the-match Mishra said that his secret was keeping it simple. “My captain told me I should go for the wickets and I got a hat-trick,” said Mishra. “It’s a great feeling. I am not trying for any more tricks. I just want to keep it simple.”
