While performing her new song Come and Get It, Gomez wore a red-hot tattered outfit with thigh-high slits. Her make-up, too, was very Indian — eyes lined heavily with dark kohl and smudged with silver grey eye shadow, tousled waves and red hot smouldering lips resembling those of Bollywood heroines. Her overall look was topped with a big red statement bindi on her forehead and a chunky gold payal (anklet) on her feet, according to the Hindustan Times.
Considering Selena’s attire, fashion designers suggested that Bollywood is definitely the flavour of the season in the West.
Fashion designer Rina Dhaka said, “Selena’s red dress is straight out of a Hindi film. Indian cinema never fails to fire the imagination of Hollywood actors and fashion designers in the West.”
International pop stars such as Madonna, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani have also taken inspiration from Bollywood style in the past.

Indians are taking over the world. Westerners are obsessed with indians . We must do something....!!!
@ivan: If he was born in India it doesnt mean he is an indian, you would know Inida-Pakistan history those who migrated from India to Pakistan actually ended their status of Indian forever and thus they can only be called Pakistanis, if a person borne in India before partition is Indian than ultimately Even Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah becomes an indian , Allama Iqbal, Liaquat Ali Khan become Indians and what more Shiekh Mujib becomes an Indian-Pakistani, coz he was borne in india than lived in Pakistan and later formed Bangladesh
So my request is to please avoid such useless claims
Every Pakistani born pre-partition should state "Future Islamic Republic of Pakistan" as his birthplace. That will solve the confusion.
Her dress doesn't look desi at all.
@Fawwad: Yes every citizen born before partition was Indian born because at that time Pakistan didn't exist but India did.
India has a knack of making everything about India. Once an Indian newspaper wrote that the first Muslim to be part of the Scottish parliament was Indian born. This was written although he was a Pakistani and the head of the Pakistan Association, everyone born before partition is Indian born! Haha
@junaid: because you people are obsessed with us.
The word Desi is derived from the Sanskrit word "Desha" which means country. Now everyone knows which country she is trying to dress up like.
indian and chinese culture will soon eclipse the entire the world......inevitable :)
And exactly why is this on ET.PK?
Not a big deal. At times Hollywood doesnt wear anything as well to pay tribute to Zulu guys
Ha Ha .. Go bollywood go ..
This proves that Hindutva is taking over America. We must tackle this threat.
