Shifting loyalties: Another loss for PPP in Sindh

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sardar Arbab Maqbool Rahimoon announced that he was leaving the PPP and joining Arbab Ghulam Rahim’s Muslim League on Sunday.


He cited Rahim’s pro-people policies for his decision while addressing the former chief minister’s rally at Deplo. Arbab Ghulam Rahim used the occasion to severely criticise the PPP for its performance in the last five years.He said that the past rulers looted the national wealth and left the country in a deep crisis. He also said that he respects women and was of the opinion that Islam has given them proper rights and respect and that a certain section of the media was busy in spreading negative propaganda against him. Rahim also claimed that Thar’s minorities support him.
