Khoso appoints finance advisor

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has appointed  Dr Shahid Amjad Chaudhry finance advisor, Express News reported on Monday.

The federal government witnessed an overhaul in the top slots of the bureaucracy. The prime minister approved notifications for new appointments and transfers with the consent of the president.

Dr Shahid is the Rector of Lahore School of Economics and was also visiting faculty for Economics at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

The interim government changed the federal secretaries as well.

Nasir Khosa was appointed secretary textile and Waqar Masood secretary finance.

Ahmed Bux Lehri replaces Taimoor Azmat Usman as secretary establishment. Usman has been transferred to the food ministry as secretary food.

Chaudhry Ejaz, who in past held the post of secretary petroleum, was appointed new secretary Sindh.

On April 12, the Sindh caretaker government transferred dozens of senior civil servants – including secretaries, commissioners and deputy commissioners – in compliance with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) orders.
