KARACHI: A deputy police superintendent, who was recently given the ‘lucrative’ posting in Gadap, has been moved out of the city after he made the mistake of addressing a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan by his name.

The Supreme Court came hard on DSP Gadap Zulfiqar Lanjhar for not observing the decorum of the court on Friday.

DSP Lanjhar had appeared in court for the case hearing of the alleged abduction of a Hindu girl, before the two-member bench at the SC’s Karachi registry.

In disregard to the court’s decorum, Zulfiqar mentioned the senior member of the bench by his name while responding to the court’s queries. The other member of the bench snubbed the officer and ordered his posting out of the city.
