Bomb defused near Karachi mosque
Bomb was placed in a plastic bag lying in the vicinity.

A bomb placed outside a mosque in Karachi was defused before it could cause any damage to the large Friday prayer congregation, Express News reported on Friday.
Gulzar Habib Masjid, near Soldier Bazaar road, was evacuated when suspicions rose regarding a suspicious plastic bag lying there.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BSD) defused the bomb attached to a time device, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shahid Nadeem revealed.
He further said that together with the over one kilogram explosives they also found ball bearings and nails. Shahid announced an award of Rs50,000 for the person who alerted the police.
