Blast near ANP leader’s car in Peshawar, guard injured

PESHAWAR:
A blast near the former agriculture minister Arbab Ayub Jan’s car in Peshawar injured one of his guards on Thursday, reported Express News.
According to initial reports, it was a roadside bomb which targeted Jan’s car in the jurisdiction of Chamkani Police Station.
Jan though escaped unhurt in the incident.
Jan is a senior member of the Awami National Party (ANP) and will be participating in the upcoming elections on NA-4 seat for Peshawar-IV.
Earlier during the day, a Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) candidate for a Sindh Assembly seat was shot by the Taliban outside his house in Hyderabad.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have said that they will be targetting the Pakistan Peoples Party, the ANP and the MQM.
