Fake Degree: Petition against former minister dismissed

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti on Tuesday disposed of a petition against former federal minister Shaikh Waqas Akram alleging that he had contested two elections on a fake degree.

Earlier, petitioner Muhammad Akram submitted that several TV channels had broadcast news that the former federal minister had contested the previous elections on a fake degree.

Akram said he gone to the North Cantt police station to register a case against the former minister but the SHO had not entertained his petition.
