The president is not known to make unannounced visits at crowded locations, given the security situation in most cities. Ghazala tells The Express Tribune that the two guests arrived without any prior notice, dressed casually and were humble in their mannerism.
“He complimented us by saying that he liked the simplicity of the restaurant and enjoyed the food. He wanted to know what inspired me to open China Kitchen,” said Ghazala. “When he was leaving, he said ‘keep up the good work’.”
Ghazala also shared that she had no trouble with his security blocking off the area or harassing her customers. In fact, she added that the president was “very friendly” with other people in the eatery.
After dinner, Aseefa posted on Twitter: “Just had dinner at China Kitchen, it was great.”
On their official Facebook page, China Kitchen also posted: “We, at China Kitchen, are honoured to serve the President of Pakistan and his daughter at our restaurant this evening.”
While some websites have said that the president tipped the servers Rs6,000 — over the actual bill which was Rs4,000 — no one from the management could confirm that.

Oh please, how many of the people complaining about tax money even pay their due taxes in Pakistan? The guy gave us democracy thus fulfilling his promise so show some respect, at least for the sake that he is the President of the country. Lets take it one step at a time and now vote in the leaders who will not take the "10%"
@FN Well...I would ask you when you own a restaurant(i am sure u don't have one)....its easy to comment here on sites sitting behind your fancy computer or laptop and a very different thing in reality...he is the President and the world knows him and has a lifetime of experience, what you or I have is nothing and matters to no one...i bet you will be the first one to share it on FB or twitter , but u have to own a restaurant first!...
Hey guys!i dont think its fair to criticize Zardari as a president when the purpose of eating out was to spend some quality father-daughter time unless of course he was given special treatment and the other guests were ignored. I admit that for me to say that I dislike him as the president would be an understatement!
It's nice and beautiful to see.
a unique ewperience
I'll make it a point never to go to this restaurant as the uber Bandit ate there
Rightly said, the president does have a right to visit any place he desires with his daughter. I am quite amazed at the fact that there were no usual security protocols in place to add to everyones miseries. Quite impressive!!! HOWEVER, that does NOT excuse his bad governance, disregard for law and and his era of corruption (the tax payers do have a right to say). So no disrespect but, to have him visit my place of business is nothing short of housing an ex-con who rightfully deserves to be back where he belongs. President or not, he is not above the law. Hes not a god. Doesn't seem like China Kitchen is worth a vist just in case he decides to pop by again :(
Oh wow, thats Rs. 6000 of our money tipped for absolute nonsense.
After seeing few of above comments: when you hate someone, you hate everything they do.
"president tipped the servers Rs6,000 — over the actual bill which was Rs4,000" I really feel so sorry for myopia of our leaders :/
Rs6000 tip from the taxpayer's money..LOL
It was just daddy's day out with his daughter. No need to hate on him, it was us who wanted democracy and there we had it. No one to blame but us.
I hope he does not like the restaurant too much. Otherwise, he will extend the walls of Bilawal House to include the restaurant. Just like he did for the Clifton Grill.
I just pity the other guests who would have been ignored all this while!
The comments above just show the 'mindset' of certain people! Im sure if anyone of you even sneeze or cough at home, you blame it on AAZ! hah..get a life dude. Let the haters hate
Ek Zardari sab pay bhari!
PPP launches its election campaign.
Enough of his being a VVIP..........now he should start getting used to moving without a protocol.
So Mr. Lahori .. the president of pakistan is not even supposed to afford a dinner with his daughter. Please get a life !
If he were to walk into a restaurant I owned, I would not serve him for what he has done to this country.
No sir, no respect for you. Sorry.
People respect your president even if you like him.(Not a Fan But still hes the president)
How much they paid you for this "ADVERTISING" ? :-)
Hate him..........
i bet "taxpayer" fried rice with "chicken ala 10% commission" was amazing.
I wish i was there..NOT to pay him any respect though, but to do something funny.
