Stage complete: ECP revises final list of nomination papers

As many as 13,554 nomination papers were submitted from Punjab, 7,213 from Sindh.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) revised its final list of nomination papers on Monday. As many as 27,204 nominations had been submitted for 272 National Assembly and 577 provincial assembly seats.


As many as 13,554 nomination papers were submitted from Punjab – 4,039 for 148 National Assembly seats and 9,505 for 297 provincial assembly seats. Similarly, 148 candidates submitted nominations for two NA seats in Islamabad.

The number of nomination papers submitted in Sindh is 7,213. Of them, 2,004 are for 61 National Assembly seats and 5,209 for 130 provincial assembly seats. As many as 3,744 nominations were submitted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Of them, 983 are for 35 National Assembly seats and 2,761 for 99 provincial assembly seats. Four hundred and fifty-one candidates submitted papers for 12 seats in Fata.

In Balochistan, 2,104 nominations were submitted. Of them, 447 were for 14 National Assembly seats and 1,657 for 51 provincial assembly seats.  The figures include those candidates who had submitted their nominations from more than one constituency.
